MELBOURNE- BASED oil painter working professionally since 2013. Focusing primarily on portraiture created in a short time span in front of a live subject also known as the ‘alla prima’ technique.

TEACHES workshops for both junior and accomplished artists. Work held in public and private collections in Australia, UK and USA. Received the People’s Choice Award in the Rick Amor Self Portrait Prize and twice awarded the Victorian Artists Society’s Artist of the Year. Member of the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society since its centenary year 2018.

ENDEAVOURS to bring depth and meaning to traditional art. Most recent solo exhibition of portraiture on vintage texts specifically designed for the gallery space with inclusivity in mind.

DESCRIPT hardback publication 2025. Comprises social biographies and colour plates alongside a brief history of alla prima and its role in telling the story of Australia.

CURRENTLY a mentor for the Hanson Little Foundation’s Coterie program at the Victorian Artists Society and working on three further accessible art projects featuring portraiture on reclaimed and recyclable objects.
